Cambustion Welcomes EKO Instruments as New Partner in Japan
We're pleased to welcome EKO Instruments (https://eko.co.jp/) to the global Cambustion distributor network. With their existing deep understanding of aerosol and particle measurement, including nanoparticle sizing, black carbon, and bioaerosol instrumentation, we're delighted that EKO Instruments now offers customers throughout Japan the opportunity to select from our comprehensive range of aerosol and particle measurement instruments.
EKO will represent Cambustion's aerosol measurement instruments across technical research and academic institutions in Japan.
Founded in Tokyo in 1929, EKO Instruments (英弘精機株式会社) has built a long-standing reputation across meteorological, environmental, and physical property measurement, from solar radiation sensors to wind, temperature and air quality instrumentation. Their portfolio already includes nanoparticle and aerosol instrumentation, such as SMPS-type particle sizers and bioaerosol counters, giving their team a strong technical foundation to support our instruments.
Customers in Japan will now be able to access the full Cambustion aerosol measurement range through EKO, including:
AAC (Aerodynamic Aerosol Classifier) – classifies aerosol particles by aerodynamic diameter without the need for particle charging, spanning 25 nm to over 5 μm.
CPMA (Centrifugal Particle Mass Analyser) – classifies charged aerosol particles by mass-to-charge ratio, giving a true mass measurement independent of particle morphology.
DMS500 Mk3 (Fast Particle Sizer) – our flagship fast-response particle sizer, measuring size distributions from 5 nm to 2.5 μm with a 200 ms response time.
AD60 (Aerosol Diluter) – a general-purpose rotating-disc diluter for the lab, offering dilution factors from ÷5 to ÷800.
5210 CPC (Condensation Particle Counter)** – a research-grade CPC measuring nanoparticle concentration from 5 nm up to over 10 μm.
AF10 (Aerosol Flowmeter)** – a self-cleaning precision aerosol flowmeter, measuring flows from 0.1 to 10 lpm even in particle-laden gas streams.
CSA (Catalytic Stripper Accessory)** – a volatile particle remover for the DMS500, supporting solid particle number measurement in line with Euro 6/7 legislation.
"We're delighted to be working with EKO Instruments. Their technical depth in aerosol and nanoparticle measurement made them a natural fit as a partner, and we're looking forward to supporting their team as they deliver more awareness of our technical measurement instruments to customers across Japan."
