Cambustion Welcomes EKO Instruments as New Partner in Japan
We're pleased to welcome EKO Instruments (https://eko.co.jp/) to the global Cambustion distributor network. With their existing deep understanding of aerosol and particle measurement, including nanoparticle sizing, black carbon, and bioaerosol instrumentation, we're delighted that EKO Instruments now offers customers throughout Japan the opportunity to select from Cambustion's comprehensive range of aerosol and particle measurement instruments.
EKO will represent Cambustion's aerosol measurement instruments across technical research and academic institutions in Japan.
Founded in Tokyo in 1929, EKO Instruments (英弘精機株式会社) has built a long-standing reputation across meteorological, environmental, and physical property measurement, from solar radiation sensors to wind, temperature and air quality instrumentation. Their portfolio already includes nanoparticle and aerosol instrumentation, such as SMPS-type particle sizers and bioaerosol counters, giving their team a strong technical foundation to support our instruments.
Customers in Japan will now be able to access the full Cambustion aerosol measurement range through EKO, including:
AAC (Aerodynamic Aerosol Classifier) – classifies aerosol particles by aerodynamic diameter without particle charging, spanning 25 nm to 7 μm.
5210 CPC (Condensation Particle Counter) – a research-grade CPC measuring nanoparticle concentrations from 5 nm to 10 μm.
SASS (Scanning Aerodynamic Sizing System) – leverages a combination of the AAC and 5210 CPC to measure size distributions over an unprecedented range of 25nm to 7 μm.
CPMA (Centrifugal Particle Mass Analyser) – allows true measurement of particle shape factor and density.
DMS500 Mk3 (Fast Aerosol Sizer) – our flagship fast-response particle sizer, measuring size distributions from 5 nm to 2.5 μm at up to 10Hz.
CSA (Catalytic Stripper Accessory)** – a volatile particle remover for the DMS500, supporting solid particle number measurement in line with Euro 6/7 legislation.
AD60 (Aerosol Diluter) – a general-purpose rotating-disc diluter for the lab, offering dilution factors from ÷5 to ÷800 with unrivalled reproducibility and repeatability.
AF10 (Aerosol Flowmeter) – a self-cleaning precision aerosol flowmeter that measures flows from 0.1 to 10 lpm, even in particle-laden gas streams.
PartiCAL (Aerosol Calibration Bench) – a range of calibration benches for aerosols, allowing users to perform traceable calibration of particle size, mass and number for a wide range of aerosol instruments.
"We're delighted to be working with EKO Instruments. Their technical depth and connections with researchers in aerosol measurement made them a natural fit as a partner, and we're looking forward to supporting their team as they build awareness amongst customers across Japan of Cambustion's aerosol capabilities."
