Office Accountant

Permanent, full time (35 hours / week) office based

£40k+ depending on skills and experience.

+Profit share (variable, but typically 10% of salary in recent years)

Key Responsibilities

• Financial accounting to Month End/Balance Sheet reconciliations

• Sales order processing (orders, acknowledgements & invoicing)

• Sales Invoice spreadsheets and analysis

• Credit Control/Aged Debtors

• Bank reconciliations and daily transaction updates

• Knowledge of multi-currency bank accounts & exchange rates

• Fixed Assets records

• Processing of monthly staff expense credit cards

• Log & Calculate sales commissions & royalties

• Produce Monthly Management Accounts (Excel)

• Providing cover for Sales/Shipping Administrator (holidays/absence)

• Deferred Tax, IPR and ONS forms

• Performance/ Bid Bonds (when required)

• Online Portals for Customer orders & invoices (including USA Government portals)

You

Essential

• Have a recognised accounting qualification (AAT Technician/ACCA/ACA/CIMA)

• Day-to-day experience of month end accounting & balance sheet reconciliations

• Excellent working knowledge of Excel, including Macros, Formulae and error checking.

• Flexibility to cover both financial and administrative tasks

• You must have the right to live and work in the UK

Advantageous

• Experience of Sage Line 50 Accounts and/or 123 Insight

• Import/Export knowledge
