Known Issues
DMS Utilities run slowly on Office 2007
It has been observed that DMS Utilties run very slowly in Excel 2007. Performance is greatly improved by installing Office 2007 Service Pack 2.
DMS Utilities do not work with fractional realtime
Data logged in a DMS file with a realtime timestamp can be misinterpreted by Excel as a "general" or "text" format if the timestamps contain fractions of seconds. The DMS Utilities generate an error unless the timestamps are formatted correctly and may be interpreted as a number.
Workaround: The following sequence of Excel commands will force Excel to interpret the realtime timestamps as a DateTime by adding zero to each timestamp:
- Enter 0 in an empty cell (cell F1 is used in this example)
- Set cell F1's cell format to "Time" using Format→Cells
- Select cell F1 and copy it to the clipboard (Ctrl+C, or Edit→Copy)
- Select all the timestamps in column1 from A7 to the end (Ctrl+Shift+Down arrow)
- Edit→Paste special, selection "Paste All" and "Operation Add"
- Cell F1 can now be cleared.
