DMS500 Noise Extract Excel Utility
An Excel macro is available which can extract the recorded noise (as measured during Autozero) from a .dms data file, and compare it to the specification.
This allows users to identify whether the instrument's noise has increased above normal levels, which indicates the need to clean the classifier.
The current version of the macro is 1.0
DMS Series Excel Utilities
The DMS Data Processing Tools require Microsoft Excel and either Windows XP or Windows 7.
Excel 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2010 are supported.
Earlier versions of Excel are not supported.

Utilities Installation Instructions
Download and run the Microsoft Installer program.
Follow the prompts to install the utilities.
Known Utilities Issues
Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found
.exd files contain cached information about controls and plugins to Excel. They are temporary files, and are recreated when the control is next used. They can become corrupt, generating the above error. To repair:
Open search on your local hard drive.
Search for all files with .exd extension (i.e. *.exd).
Delete (or move) all the .exd files found.
Object Library Invalid Error On Starting MS Excel
The error message "Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found" may be displayed when starting MS Excel with the DMS Utilities installed. This relates to missing components in Excel, and the recommendation is to reinstall MS Excel.
Windows 7 / Excel 2010 / Excel 2007 intermittent error in version 6.1
We are aware that the combination of Windows 7 and Excel 2010 and 2007 gives intermittent errors of the form
"Run-time error '48':
File not found: CamDMSjsi.dll
despite the file being present in the correct location. This issue is resolved in version 6.4 when loading files through Windows Explorer although using the File>Open dialog in Excel can still cause it.
DMS Utilities do not run on Office 2002
There is a bug in Excel 2002 which prevents the default install of the utilities running. This issue is resolved in version 6.4.
DMS Utilities run slowly on Office 2007
It has been observed that DMS Utilties run very slowly in Excel 2007. Performance is greatly improved by installing Office 2007 Service Pack 2.
